Milan

One of Pineider's first boutiques opened in the nineteen-nineties on Corso Europa, followed shortly after by a new location at Via Manzoni 12, where the store stands to this day.

Milan

The address is no coincidence. Via Manzoni 12 was once home to the historic flagship of the Feltrinelli bookshop, a true cultural landmark for the city of Milan. The deep bond between Pineider and the world of culture is written into the brand's DNA, and what better place to express it than steps away from Teatro alla Scala, beside the courtyard of the Museo Poldi Pezzoli, in the very rooms where Milanese readers once browsed for books. Founded in 1774 on a Florentine piazza that was itself a crossroads for writers and intellectuals, Pineider arrives in Milan in precisely the place where the city came to buy literature. The symbolic continuity is almost too perfect. The interior design pays homage to the building's original architectural character: plaster moldings crafted by hand, encaustic floor tiles produced by a historic Sicilian manufacturer, and above all the great central skylight and the courtyard windows, both restored and brought back to their full, luminous presence.
