Visual Pop-Up Diary
In the heart of everyday life, amid the noise of time rushing by, there is room for a simple yet powerful gesture: rediscovering oneself through paper.
The workshop led by Yansu Wang is a delicate and profound experience — a suspended moment where emotions, memories, and fragments of life intertwine into visual forms.
Through the techniques of collage and pop-up structures, each participant will be guided in creating a visual diary: an unconscious autobiography taking shape in their hands, transforming intimate impressions into a three-dimensional narrative.
No artistic skills are required — only the desire to listen to oneself. This is a tactile storytelling workshop, where imperfection becomes authenticity, and the personal becomes universal.

The workshop takes place at the Pineider Boutique in Milan, Via Manzoni 12.

What the workshop includes
Each participant will be provided with a complete kit of selected tools, including:
• Scissors (large and small)
• Precision cutter
• Glue stick and liquid glue
• Masking tape and double-sided tape
• Ruler, cutting mat, pencil
• Notebook/journal
• An envelope and a Pineider sheet of paper
• 30 blank A5 sheets
What to bring
We invite you to give voice to your personal story by bringing along some meaningful items:
photographs, clippings, letters, receipts, scraps of fabric, dried flowers, fragments that hold memories.
These will become the living material from which to create a unique and unrepeatable visual story.
About Yansu Wang
Yansu Wang is a multidisciplinary artist and designer, born in East Asia and now based in Paris. After an intensive artistic education, she moved to Europe, developing a creative path that first brought her to France and then to Italy, where she created projects that weave together personal experiences and visual research — including an illustrated diary inspired by the city of Milan.
Her work explores intimacy, memory, and identity through paper, print, and object-making. With a poetic and delicate style, she merges craftsmanship and contemporary language, giving life to visual narratives that reflect her transnational gaze.
She has collaborated with art institutions and international brands, including Pineider, with whom she took part in the exhibition It’s All About Paper, curated by Galleria 51, dedicated to the emotional and material value of paper.
Her works combine art and craftsmanship into experiences of profound visual and tactile sensitivity.
