Plantin-Moretus Museum

It happens very rarely that a museum is recognized as a world heritage site by Unesco; still in this case the importance of the exhibition space, its content and its history resulted in the selection and subsequent inclusion of Plantin-Moretus in the prestigious list. The museum is located in a beautiful historic building in the centre of Antwerp and its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is fully dedicated to typography. Between narrow wood stairs, libraries with countless books, typography machines and squeaky floors one can dive into the world of the press from 16th century onwards: fascination and magic.
