Golden ink

As if he wanted to give an economic value to the written word, everything impressed on paper through a pen – better if it is a fountain pen – the Brazilian artist Vanderlei Lopes plays with materials and metals to create illusions. His artworks are nothing but bronze sculptures created to look like moving liquid gold: this golden ink seems now to fall into a manhole or to come out of an open pipe in the wall of the exhibition space, or even stay on the ground like a pool with a footprint in it.
